ABOUT IZZY

Isadora is my only mature Rebel daughter and boy does she set the bar high. She is a combination of bests. Linebred on the foundation doe of TX Twincreeks, Twink's Pixie, and being the granddaughter of Dawnland's foundation doe, Butterfly Dance, as well as the granddaughter of arguably one of the best does to come out of the Poppy Patch breeding program, Dutchess.

Izzy is loosely linebred on MCH/PGCH Raha Acres Twink's Pixie *D AGS 91.9 'E' as well as ARMCH Twin Creeks BH Bay Watch *++S ++B AGS 90.4 'E'. Kellye Bussey, owner of the now dispersed TX Twincreeks herd, said "Twinkie was the doe who pretty much started it all here"... she was "truly the heart and soul of Twincreeks farm." Twinkie was not only a productive milker with exceptional conformation, dairy character, and an udder that stood the test of time but "most importantly, she [passed] her outstanding qualities down to her progeny for generations, and had a tremendous positive impact not only in [the Twincreeks] herd but in others across the country." Twinkie produced many permanent Champion offspring. MCH/GCH Twin Creeks WB Madam Butterfly 2*D 1*M VEEE 90 is the line which Isadora descends from most directly. Bay Watch is also a Twinkie grandson.

Izzy's dam, Tango, is linebred on two-time AGS National Champion ARMCH Goodwood Tom Thumb +*S 'E' and AGS National Champion ARMCH Goodwood Water Lilly 2*D 'VG'. Both He and Water Lilly were integral foundation goats in the Rosasharn herd. One of the last bucks to be born from Lilly and Thumb was Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby. Tabby went on to be the founding sire of the Dawnland herd. Tango has been described by her breeder, Laura Whitlock, as a long-bodied, correct, and powerful doe. Tango started out milking 3.5lbs per day as a first freshener and maintained her production over time.

Tango's dam, Butterfly Dance, is the daughter of MCH/GCH Twin Creeks WB Madam Butterfly 2*D 1*M VEEE 90 -- the last doe to come out of Twink's Pixie. She was described by Laura as having exceptional dairy character with "huge well-placed teats, and tons of loose, fine skin" and "an udder that stood the test of time." Butterfly was also the cornerstone doe of the Dawnland breeding program.

Izzy's paternal granddam, Dutchess, not only had a beautiful, correct, well attached udder, as would be expected in a Poppy Patch doe, but was also from the strongest milk producing line of the Poppy Patch herd. She produced 3.5 to 4 quarts (not lbs) per day at peak during her 3rd freshening in 2011 after kidding with sextuplets that year! According to the Poppy Patch website, her production returned to her more normal level of 2.5 to 3 quarts per day the following year and her udder held up beautifully despite the large volume increase the year prior.
